We tallied the Peoples Choice votes and I'm pleased and proud to announce that "Morgue: A Love Story with Guts" was the hands-down winner! Dr. Stuart Kaminsky passed away October 9, 2009. Stuart was the first Director of the MFA program in the Film School. Kaminsky's first novel was the 1977 Toby Peters mystery Bullet for a Star. He went on to write more than 50 novels, as well as story collections and nonfiction works. Kaminsky was a past president of the Mystery Writers of America. Well, its orientation week here at the Film School and FSU – welcome to all the new students! Classes begin Monday, and so it begins again. Claudia Johnson will be joining us to teach a BFA Feature Screenwriting course – yea! Courtney Powell (MFA 04) will be assisting Keith Slade in the Equipment room.
