We tallied the Peoples Choice votes and I'm pleased and proud to announce that "Morgue: A Love Story with Guts" was the hands-down winner! Dr. Stuart Kaminsky passed away October 9, 2009. Stuart was the first Director of the MFA program in the Film School. Kaminsky's first novel was the 1977 Toby Peters mystery Bullet for a Star. He went on to write more than 50 novels, as well as story collections and nonfiction works. Kaminsky was a past president of the Mystery Writers of America. We had a great weekend last weekend, celebrating many things: Richard Portman’s Retirement; the Film School 20th Anniversary; the annual Film School Fund Raising Gala with special guests Matt Lopez (BFA 93), Adam Elend and Jeffrey Marks (both BFA 98) and actress Cindy Morgan.
